Litter Placement Program
Dreampower offers kitten and puppy placement services in order to encourage owners to spay or neuter their adult pets, while finding good homes for the offspring. Individuals who wish to keep the mother pet, but surrender the litter to Dreampower for placement must meet the following criteria:- Animals meet the Dreampower admission policy definition of adoptable.
- Owner pays the placement fee. The fee covers:
- We test the mother cat for FELV and FIV. Owner understands that mother cats must test negative for FELV and FIV. If the mother cat tests positive, Dreampower cannot accept the litter.
- We spay the mother cat or dog.
- We neuter the father pet, if available. Neutering the male pet requires an additional fee.
- Once altered, the owner agrees to bring the kittens or puppies to Dreampower's weekly adoption fairs.
If for any reason you find you can not complete the placement agreement, you will be invoiced for the expenses we incurred.
