Much has changed since 1990 when Dreampower Animal Rescue was established. The animal welfare community in the Pikes Peak Region has grown by leaps and bounds and has become a permanent presence in the lives of many in this area.

Dreampower Animal Rescue continues to depend on membership fees, contributions, private donations, grants and adoption revenue in order to function. In the long run our future will depend, more and more, on special gifts from friends who want to help Dreampower Animal Rescue continue as a strong and stable influence in animal welfare.

Planned giving is one way to leave a legacy of love to the pets in southern Colorado. Consider using assets such as stocks, bonds, and real estate as a charitable gift. One easy way to express your deep commitment to animal welfare is to name Dreampower Animal Rescue Foundation in your will or trust. This is a great way to make a lasting contribution without impacting your current financial security

Leaving a bequest through your will is one of the simplest ways to make a gift to a charitable organization. Other ways to leave a legacy is to name Dreampower Animal Rescue Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, IRA or pension plan. One bequest a year can help DAR care for hundreds of additional pets. Two bequests a year can help rebuild our emergency fund, which has dwindled in recent years due to changes in the economy. Additional bequests can build the foundation for a fund to create a home base of operations or a sanctuary for animals unable to be re-adopted.
